How To Compress the Image on Android: Method 1

  • Launch the app and tap on Allow for Photo Compress app to access your device's library.

  • On the home screen, you will see two options. One is Compress Photos and Crop Photo.
  • Tap on Compress Photos.
  • On the next screen, choose the photos that you want to compress and tap on the tick symbol.

  • In this screen, the default image compression range is 80%. You could swipe left and right to adjust the range from 0% to 100%. [You will get a highly compressed image if the compression range is high).
  • Then touch the Start Compress button.

Note: The original image file size we used for testing is 4.8 MB. After compression, it has been reduced to 348 KB. We found that the image is still having 95% of quality after compression.

  • Now, go to the home screen of this app.

To delete the original photo, you have to go to the app settings.

  • Tap on triple horizontal lines on the top left side.
  • Tap on Settings option.


  • Toggle on for the Delete Origin Photos After Compress option.

Note: If you're okay with the compressed image quality, Toggle On this option.

  • To skip a certain file size, tap on Skip Photo Size option.

  • By default, this app will skip Below 50kb image sizes for compression. In this settings, you can change it from Below 30k to No Limit. 

Note: If you set as No Limit, this app will compress all the image sizes.

How To Compress the Image Online: Method 2

  • First, make sure that the images that you want to compress are stored on PC.
  • If the images are stored on your Mobile, transfer it to PC.


  • Tinypng supports .png, .jpg and .jpeg image files.
  • Click on the down arrow symbol.
  • Browse the photos on your computer and open it.
  • Tinypng will compress 20 images at a time.
  • Wait a few seconds until you see the Download option.
  • If you've uploaded a few images click on Download options for individual images.
  • If you've uploaded many images, click on the Download All option.
  • You can also upload all the compressed images to Dropbox cloud storage.
  • Once you've downloaded all images using Download All option, you have to unzip the folder.
  • If you're using Windows PC, right-click on the folder > Click on Extract All > Extract to unzip the folder.
